How much money do you need per day in London?

London’s daily budget depends on meals, transport and paid attractions, with accommodation best calculated separately. Mixing public transport and inexpensive meals with free museums can keep costs down; restaurants, nightlife and taxis can raise them quickly. Excluding accommodation, how much did you spend per day in London?

For a comfortable trip, I’d budget around £60–£100 per person per day, excluding accommodation. You can spend less if you use public transport, eat at markets or casual places, and focus on free attractions. If you’re doing paid attractions, restaurants and drinks regularly, £100+ a day is much more realistic. London can get expensive quickly, but you definitely don’t need a luxury budget to enjoy it.
